Worship
Our benefice is host to a wide variety of worship from traditional Evensong to our Muddy Praise with outdoor crafts and activities.
Visitors and newcomers are welcome to absolutely everything. Do please feel free to try things out as well to find a home for you. We have welcoming communities in all four of our wonderful church buildings and in all our different services.
We do come together regularly as well to try out new things and remind ourselves of the breadth of our community. 5th Sundays in particular are always a little special! Sunday by Sunday patterns given below, although these sometimes change with the seasons. Subscribe to our newsletter to learn more!
Thank you for your input !
Reviewing Our Services Together
We are currently reviewing the pattern of services across the Benefice of Thornbury and Oldbury with Shepperdine. Our aim is to make our worship as accessible, welcoming, and meaningful as possible for everyone in our community.
Thank you for all the positive comments and suggestions in the survey. We are currently compiling all the feedback and are working to share a summary by Lent.
Thank you for taking part.

Advent Services
A Season to Be Thankful For
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone from our church congregation and the wider local community who participated in, supported, or attended our Advent and Christmas services.
Throughout Advent, it was wonderful to see so many people gather in worship and reflection. The Christingle service was a particular highlight, with a spectacular turnout that filled the church with light, joy, and a strong sense of togetherness. Christmas Day was equally special, with a cheerful and uplifting congregation coming together to celebrate the heart of the season.
These services would not have been possible without the generosity of time, energy, and support from so many people, both seen and unseen. Whether you helped organise, volunteered, supported in prayer, or simply joined us in celebration, your involvement made this season truly meaningful.
Thank you for being part of such a joyful and memorable Advent and Christmas.
